Sean McComb is already European level says the man that fought them all

Those with an educated eye have have been telling anyone that will listen about Sean McComb’s potential.
The Turf lodge fighter was initially warned against turning pro with some suggesting he hadn’t the style for paid boxing.
However, the Belfast fighter hasn’t just adapted to life without the vest he has excelled to such a degree some are suggesting he is Ireland’s most exciting prospect.
It’s not just the watching public that have been impressed, McComb’s [8(4)-0] opponents have been full of praise for his talents.
None more so and certainly none more qualified  to voice an opinion than his most recent foe Renald Garrido [24(6)-24(0)-3].
The French entertainer has been it with them all. He holds wins over the likes of Bradley Saunders and Daouda Sow, pushed Franky Gavin and Tyrone McKenna and was unlucky not have been given the nod on numerous occasions, most recently against Lewis Benson in Scotland.

‘Lion Heart’ is seen as a test for fighters approaching 20-0 and looking to progress from domestic to European level.

McComb took on the challenge after just six pro fights and passed it with flying colours.
Indeed, speaking to Irish-boxing.com post the fight Garrido claimed the ‘Public Nuisance’ could already prove a nuisance to European level operators.
“At the moment it’s hard to predict the distant future and how far Sean can go, but I can already say that it has is at EBU level,” Garrido said before claiming McComb is in the top 3 when it comes to opponents he has faced.
“I’d put him in the top 3 of my best opponents.
“I found that Sean was excellent. His coach Danny Vaughan and Sean studied me well and had a perfect strategy. From the 7th I think I could have reversed the fight but I was not well prepared for this fight.”

Garrido has become a welcome sight in the away corner in Belfast. The experienced French title challenger always comes to fight, throws from first to last minute and plays his part in the build up.
The 36-year-old isn’t shy of some pre fight antics and he has really endeared himself to the Irish fight fan.
“The people of Belfast are very warm and welcoming, they like simple people who have fun. I have good reputation down there and the Irish appreciate me and respect me a lot
“I had supporters down and at each side of [the Falls Park]. I also gained the respect of supporters of my opponents. I would like to fight in Ireland in Ireland again soon.”
Garrido was scheduled for face Gary Cully of Kildare earlier in the year before injury to the lightweight prospect forced him out.
‘The Diva’ could certainly provide him passage back to Ireland. The Pete Taylor fighter returns on October 11 at the Ulster Hall, but the away corner favourite revealed he wasn’t contacted about possibly rescheduling the clash.
“No we did not get an offer to confront Gary Cully, but the idea interests me. It was my original opponent and he wants this test too.  In October it will be complicated but if he wants to do it between November and January i would be willing,” he adds before praising MTK.
“I would also like to congratulate the MTK team. They are doing an exceptional job in boxing and boxing development work. The future of boxing is in good shape and Belfast in terms of enthusiasm is the example to follow for the rest of the world.”
