RESULTS: The Liffey Crane Hire Boxer of the Month – FEBRUARY


Following four days of voting and a massive amount of votes yet, The Liffey Crane Hire Boxer of the Month for February has been selected.

With three pro shows and the Elite Senior Championships, it was an exceptionally busy month with lots of contenders.

So without further ado, the award goes to:

Kieran Molloy
The Galway welterweight announced his arrival on the scene as a new star of Irish boxing.

The Oughterard 19-year-old claimed the National Elite Senior title, taking the Best Male Boxer in the process.

Molloy defeated reigning champion and European bronze medalist Dean Walsh in the semi-finals, before beating Eugene McKeever in the final, live on RTÉ.

The talented teenage jetted out to Boston yesterday where he will take part in a three-city tour with a new-look Irish team.

Gráinne Walsh comes in second following here Elite Senior title win for which she was crowned Best Female Boxer. In third is Pádraig McCrory who scored a knockout of the year contender against Manny Bique.
