RESULTS: The Liffey Crane Hire Irish Boxer of the Month – OCTOBER

Following four days of voting and thousands of votes, The Liffey Crane Hire Boxer of the Month for October has been chosen from the fifteen nominees.

One of the most successful months in Irish boxing history, it was a tough one to call and this is reflected in the closeness of the final results

So without further ado, the Liffey Crane Hire Irish Boxer of the month for October is:

Katie Taylor
The Bray boxer became Ireland’s newest world champion on October 28th when she claimed the vacant WBA lightweight title in Cardiff.

Taylor stole the show on the Anthony Joshua v Carlos Takam pay-per-view undercard at the Principality Stadium, outpointing Anahi Sanchez over ten competitive rounds

The Wicklow woman dealt with her opponent, a two-division champ, missing weight and knocked the Argentinian down to the body in the second round.

Sanchez recovered, coming back strong and giving Taylor her toughest pro fight to date, but there was no stopping the Irishwoman who won a wide unanimous decision to take a maiden world title.
