Quigg calls Frampton versus Santa Cruz

Scott Quigg has backed Leo Santa Cruz to beat his old foe Carl Frampton.

Santa Cruz could be next

Frampton steps up in weight to challenge for the Mexican’s WBA featherweight title live on Showtime on July 30.

The massive bout will play out in the Barclay’s center and although he lost to ‘The Jackal’ and previously expressed confidence he would beat Santa Cruz, Quigg believes the three weight World champion would have too much for the Belfast fighter.

Quigg believes he defeated Frampton and claims the manner in which he finished the fight will be the way in which the former Golden Boy star will starts and on that logic he predicts a Mexican win.

“I think he gets beat,” Quigg told Sky Sports.

“It’s not me being bitter because he got the win over me, I just think, having been in there with him, if I’d have started faster everyone said I’d have won the fight.

“I think Santa Cruz is a bit bigger than me and he’ll start off like a train and it’s whether or not Frampton can out-box him for 12 rounds.

“If he can’t put a dent in Santa Cruz he is going to be in for a very tough night.”

The Jackal Army will be heading to new York not Las Vegas for this massive clash, but if you want some fun on the machines you can check out slot machines guide.
