Returning Prince Brady vows to steal the show – again – at the York Hall

Move over Hamlet, there’s a new Prince of Denmark in town.

Dublin bantamweight Prince Brady [1(0)-0] is back in the ring tomorrow night in London for his second professional fight following an extended period out of the ring.

After a dramatic debut win at the York Hall last November the Skerries stylist took some time away to travel and train and returns to the ring at the same venue tomorrow.

24-year-old Brady, who recovered from a first round knockdown in his debut to outpoint Edmund Bjorkland, spent time in Denmark among other places and steps back between the ropes a refreshed fighter at a lower weight.

Commenting on his long gap between fight #1 and fight #2, Brady told Irish-Boxing.com that “I wouldn’t say [it has been] frustrating exactly.”

“I have been travelling the world I only just came back from Denmark just a month ago and I had the best experience whilst I was there, you know, learning about different cultures and activities.”

“Denmark is the most happy country in the world, oh man, I had such an amazing time whilst I was there the food was amazing the people and the place was truly something special I look forward to going back there next year.”

“The ten month gap only felt like three months if I’m honest because it just went so quick.

“I felt this was the right thing to do at this particular moment so I’m going to go with the flow and see what happened for future fights but I’m ready to go now!”

On Saturday Brady will face Bulgarian Georgi Georgiev [5(3)-11(4)-1] – a game foe who gave Jobstown’s Dylan McDonagh a serious test back in July.

A fighter who has troubled and upset prospects before, Georgiev ensures that Brady will not have an easy touch in his return fight.

This is exactly what the Zimbabwe-born fighter wants and he is intending to be the highlight of the Goodwin Boxing show.

The confident Brady outlined how “the show is called ‘Brawl in the Hall’ but realistically it’s the ‘PrinceBradyShow’.”

“Everyone is coming to see me, dancing, coming in wearing two gold chains and glasses – they may not be buying tickets off me but I know they are really coming to see me.”

“The last time I fought, my fight was the most talked about fight when I left the building and this will also be the most talked about fight on the night.”

Predicting a dominant display, ‘Dreamhills’ Brady described how “I’m really looking forward to competing tomorrow as I’m a prizefighter.”

“I know my opponent is going to come out jabbing to see if I’m any good but then I’ll land one or two punches and I’m sure he is going to go to survival mode without a doubt as I’m looking to drop nuclear bombs throughout the whole fight.”
