Gallagher, who got frustrated due to a lack of action, has been afforded the chance progress to the next level by claiming the BBBofC Celtic title on a Cyclone Promotions card in Wales tomorrow night.

The Belfast fighter is determined to buckle the title around his waist and impress on live on TV.

“I got all the running, strength and conditioning and sparring done and everything went to plan,” he told the Belfast Newsletter.

“This is also for the Celtic title so it gives you more hunger to work harder in the gym and put the work in.

“And since this show has a world title fight, I am live on television and my fight is for a title, it has given me more motivation.”
The John Breen trained welterweight takes on undefeated prospect Tony Dixon in his back yard, but is confident he can emerge victorious.

“He is bringing a big support with him and he is a crowd pleaser. We have the game plan sorted and I can’t see me losing this fight. It will be tough but I want this title,” he added.
