New look Cacace will get the job done in Scotland says McGuigan

Anthony Cacace has long been earmarked as one to watch. Not only did he look well back in his vest-wearing days, but he was the jewel of the Emerald Promotions banner in the first stage of his pro career – which also included an eye catching Irish title win over Mickey Coveney.

However, Barry McGuigan believes there is a new look to the undefeated super featherweight ahead of his BBBoC Celtic title clash with Ronnie Clark in Edinburgh on October 16th.

The Irish fight legend and current Cyclone Promotions CEO suggests the Belfast boxer has added some hunger to his obvious talent stating he more ‘committed’ than ever.

McGuigan predicts title victory on November 16th before Commonwealth and British title assaults.

“Anthony is looking great and I have never seen him so committed. He is buzzing and he is knocking lumps out of guys in sparring,” McGuigan told the Belfast Newsletter.

“He is very talented and he punches really hard. He will get the job done in Edinburgh,”

“He is a very ambitious guy and he wants to be headlining shows and be in the spotlight.

“He does not want to just make up the numbers and I believe he will go on to Commonwealth and British title fights after October 16th,” he added.
