Nevin is firing on all cylinders says Greenblood stable mates Ginley and McKenna

JOHN Joe Nevin’s Greenblood stable mates assure the Olympic silver medal winner is back to his best.

Nevin has been out for six months with two broken legs, but returns to action in America on Saturday night. Most Irish fight fans are eager to see if there is any lasting effects from the injury on the former Irish amateur stand out. His manager Tom Moran, however was so impressed with how the bantamweight star sparred in Philadelphia over the last few weeks that he secured him a return fight this tonight.

Indeed, his stable mates Ginley and McKenna both ensured Irish-boxing.com the 1-0 pro fighter is looking as impressive as ever.

“It’s always great to have an Olympic silver medalist in the camp. I’ve known Nevin a long time and trained with him on the Ireland team so it’s nice to back training along side him in the pro ranks and now he’s back from his injury and looking back to his normal skillful self,” said McKenna, whilst Ginley said

“From the little I have seen of John Joe he looks just like as agile ever, we did some defensive drills in the gym before he left and his legs didn’t seem to be giving him any bother at all. It’s an honour to be training alongside someone of his calibre, I’m sure I’ll learn a lot of him as we get to work together more.”
