Mike Perez begins cruiserweight journey with 29-second knockout

Mike Perez announced his arrival to the cruiserweight scene tonight in Belfast in style.

The Cork-Cuban, a former world-rated heavyweight was in action on the Haskins-Burnett undercard at the SSE Odyssey Arena scored an easy knockout victory.

Perez destroyed previously unbeaten Slovakian champ Viktor Biscak, taking the Central European out in just 29 seconds.

A lazy hook, the first real punch of note from Perez sent his opponent, who seemed to also twist an ankle, down and out.

The quick victory sees Perez move to 22(14)-2(1)-1, while the overmatched Biscak drops to 10(7)-1(1).
