McCullough to fight for title on This Is Belfast card

MARC McCullough has been presented the opportunity to claim a third title on the trot on the ‘This is Belfast’ April 4 show.

The Breen’s gym featherweight will fight for a vacant WBO featherweight title on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s world title eliminator with Hugo Cazares in the Odyssey Arena, the venue which he beat former European Champion Willie Casey on the last Cyclone Promotions card.

A victory over Andrei Isaeu on a card that also includes Jamie Conlan, Stephen Ormond and Conrad Cummings would see the Belfast fighter follow his Celtic and Irish title wins with win that would greatly increase his world ranking.

Speaking to the Belfast Newsletter about the bout McCulloug said,

“Yes, I am delighted the fight has been made. If I win this fight it will mean that I have won a title in all of my last three bouts. This is a good test for me and it means I can move up the rankings and keep pushing forward. I don’t know much about my opponent but I will be ready for whatever he has to offer on the night.”
