Two wins on the spin – McComb and Donnelly win on Amir Khan undercard

Sean McComb [2(2)-0] continued his explosive start to pro boxing with another impressive win on Saturday evening.

The recently turned over lightweight announced himself in style with a fantastic fourth round debut stoppage of Reynaldo Mora on the Carl Frampton v Luke Jackson undercard in Windsor Park last month.

The Belfast fighter followed that up with another stoppage win on another big card in Birmingham.

The European Games bronze medallist stopped Lesther Cantillano [4(3)-20(4)]  on undercard of Amir Khan’s second comeback clash versus Samuel Vargas at the Arena Birmingham.

Even more impressive, the Turf Lodge southpaw took out another game Nicaraguan who usually goes the distance and comes more often than not comes to fight. It’s as statement a win you can for a second fight.

Olympian Stephen Donnelly [2(0)-0] was another to secure a second pro win on the card. On the undercard of his idol Amir Khan’s clash with Samuel Vargas, Donnelly defeated another experienced Barcelona-based Nicaraguan Miguel Aguilar [11(5)-48(9)-1].

The Ballymena light middleweight, who turned 30 this week, secured a shut out points win to make it two wins on the spin.
