McClean happy with team Ireland’s preparations ahead Euro Youth Championships

Team Ireland will finish up their training camp at the National Stadium in Dublin this Friday ahead of the European Youth Championships in Croatia.

222 Boxers (88 coaches and 33 for each Team Staff), representing 39 countries will compete in Zagreb.

List of participating Countries: Finland, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, BIH, Russia, Greece, Lithuania, Scotland, Estonia, Sweden, England, Bulgaria, Romania, Ireland, Poland, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Albania, Armenia, Serbia, Spain, Latvia, Italy, Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Denmark, Kosovo, Georgia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Hungary, Belarus, Macedonia, Slovakia, Israel, EUBC.

The tournament begins at the Dom Sportova venue in Zagreb on Saturday October 17th at 3pm (local time).

“The squad are in their fourth week of a training camp and preparations are going very well, said Irish coach Billy McClean.

“We leave for Croatia on Friday week. The squad are looking forward to getting to Croatia and getting the tournament underway.”
