Maklin to warm up for Lee fight with August 30th Dublin show

Eddie Hearn will bring Matthew Macklin and Sky Sports cameras to Dublin on August 30th. Macklin will return to Dublin for the first time since he beat Rafael Sosa Pintos in 2009.

As reported earlier on Irish-boxing.com it seems likely that a Prizefighter tournament will will act as an undercard.

Hearn, who was in Marbella to finalise the deal on Wednesday, stated today on Twitter that a full announcement of the show will be confirmed next week.

It is believed that Hearn plans to make Dublin a permanent home for the nomadic Macklin, eventually upgrading from the National Stadium to the O2.

Maklin this week confirmed that an offer had been made to IBF Middleweight champion Sam Solimon to defend his title in Dublin in December. But in more exciting news, respected Irish boxing writer Kevin Byrne revealed Hearn has plans to make the fight that all Irish boxing fans have been calling for years and will pair Macklin and Lee in November at the O2.
