Lynn Harvey [4(3)-1(0)] is on the verge of a signing a coveted promotional deal and set herself a 2017 European title goal.

After her May stoppage win over Ivanka Ivanova, ‘The Hunter’ told Irish-Boxing.com that she had a Euro vision and that the Bulgarian was drafted in to test her continental credentials – as she had taken the most recent EBU flyweight title challenger, Sandy Coget, the distance.

The Kilbarrack native is now hopeful that two September dates will provide her with a chance to secure mandatory status and, from there, she hopes to secure a shot at champion Loredana Piazza [12(4)-3(1)] before the year is out.

It’s all positive news for one of three Irish female pro boxers and the fact she could soon have a promoter to fight her corner makes her title chances all the more real.

“We are trying to tie down two dates for September, one of which could possibly be for a minor title over eight rounds.”

“We are also hoping to sign a promotional deal. We are in the very early stages of negotiations, but hopefully something will come of it,” Harvey told Irish-boxing.com before laying out her European plan.

“I’m currently ranked ninth in Europe with BoxRec and am hoping to push for the European title this year. The plan is to get into mandatory position and all going well challenge before the end of the year.”

Harvey is going out to make the Euro step and the Tommy McCormack-trained puncher has added to her backroom team.

“I will be increasing my team with a strength and conditioning coach and I am looking forward to the benefits that brings,” she continued before pausing for a word for her sponsors.

“Moving forward has been made possible by the continued support from my main sponsor Daniel Lynch and his company D.Lynch Civil Groundwork. I am also still getting sponsorship from Corina Mooney from LowCal Meals Delivered since November and I am grateful to both.”
