Line-ups announced for first Ireland v USA Boston fight night

The line-up has been announced for the first fixture of Ireland’s tour of America.

An Elite Irish squad will fight thrice in New England over the next two weeks, with the first bout taking place tomorrow night (Monday March 12th) at the Royale Entertainment Complex in Boston.

An 18-strong Ireland squad was announced, although visa issues meant that only 16 travelled, with Eugene McKeever and Evan Metcalfe not making the trip.

Tomorrow night’s action will see 11 Irish fighters in action (with Belfast trio Gerard French, Caoimhin Ferguson, Caoimhin Hynes, Dublin middleweight Aoife Burke, and Limerick wonderkid Paddy Donovan not competing)

There are a number of intriguing match-ups including Brett McGinty’s clash with World bronze medalist Troy Isley, Frankie Cleary’s fight versus underage star Marc Castro, and Lauren Hogan’s bout with Panamerican chamion Virginia Fuchs.
