Lindsay wins best boxer award

British featherweight champion Martin Lindsay has been named the years Best Northern Ireland Boxer by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Unbeaten Lindsay, 16-0 (6KO) retained his title against Welshman Jamie Arthur in March and now looks set to make the second defence of his crown in September.

After picking up the Eddie Shaw Memorial Trophy, Lindsay told irish-boxing.com, Im grateful for receiving the award especially since both Eddie Shaw and I are part of the history of the Immaculata club.
