He asked for it following his most recent fight and now Lewis Crocker [2(2)-0] has had his wish fulfilled.

It has been confirmed this evening that ‘The Croc’ will box on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s Belfast homecoming next month.

Frampton takes on Andres Gutierrez in a WBC featherweight title eliminator at the SSE Odyssey Arena on Saturday July 29th, and South Belfast welter Crocker will feature in support.

Crocker spent time training alongside Frampton at McGuigan’s Gym in London last Summer, and ‘The Jackal’ has spoken numerous times about how much he rates the 20 year old’s talent.

The Sandy Row heavy-hitter debuted in March at the Waterfront Hall with a 67 second destruction of Ferenc Jarko, and followed this up at the same venue earlier this month with a second round stoppage of tough Bulgarian Radoslav Mitev.

Crocker’s next opponent will be confirmed shortly.

The undercard next month also features Antrim prospects Steven Ward and Padraig McCrory, potential Katie Taylor rival Chantelle Cameron, and a WBO European title defence for Conrad Cummings against Robert Swierzbinski, with more still to be announced.
