Lewis Crocker gets over Frampton fight cancellation by knocking opponent unconscious in Birmingham

Any frustrations Lewis Crocker may have had after having seen his Belfast fight date tonight cancelled were erased with a huge left hook in Birmingham.

The South Belfast welter was due to box on the Carl Frampton homecoming card at the SSE Odyssey Arena tonight, but the entire card was shelved following a freak accident yesterday that saw headline opponent Andres Gutierrez unable to fight.

The Mexican featherweight slipped and fell in the shower, leaving himself with severe dental damage and facial lacerations, and forcing the Channel 5 card to be scrapped.

20 year old Crocker was quickly added to an MTK Birmingham card at the Tudor Grange Leisure Centre in Solihull and he quickly dispatched his Polish opponent in devastating fashion.

Taking on Sylwester Walczak, ‘The Croc’ left the journeyman unconscious in the opening round with a massive left hook.

The quick win sees Crocker improve his perfect professional record to 3(3)-0, while the shell-shocked Walczak falls to 5(0)-32(13)-2
