Andy Lee headlines the Fight Night at the Horseshoe boxing series promoted by Hitz Boxing this Saturday night (October 2) at the Venue, Horseshoe Casino, Hammond, Indiana.

Lee laces up his gloves in his 25th outing as a professional, in a 10 round bout against veteran fighter, Troy Lowry from Saint Paul, Minnesota with a record of 27 wins and 10 losses.

The experienced Lowry has been in battles with fighters such as Hector Camacho, Yuri Foreman, Matt Vanda, Anthony Bonsante and Peter Quillan.

Kronk fighter Lee returns to the ring following an impressive 8th round TKO win two weeks ago against the rugged and durable Michael Walker from Chicago.

Lee commented, “It is great to be kept busy. Im ready to fight and cant wait to get in the ring on Saturday night. These fights give me plenty of experience that will stand by me when I step up a level.”

The Irish middleweight took time out of training last week to attend the grand re-opening of the world renowned 5th Street Gym, Miami, Florida. He could not believe his luck, when he had the honor of meeting his boyhood boxing hero Muhammad Ali.

Lee was delighted to meet his idol in person, “It was a once in a lifetime opportunity and a great privilege to be in the presence of Muhammad Ali, he was the Greatest. I always watch tapes of his fights; he had immense talent, beautiful hand speed, co-ordination, agility, power and strength.

“As a person in his lifetime he has touched the lives of so many people in different ways. He is a very giving and caring person with values and principles. He has charm and personality and a wonderful sense of humor. Meeting Muhammad, will be a memory that I will never forget.
