Lambe and Grace in AIBA World Elite Women’s Championship action tonight

Joanne Lambe and Claire Grace will get Ireland’s AIBA World Elite Women’s Championships campaign underway with last-32 bouts on Jeju island, South Korea tomorrow.

The Monaghan and Kilkenny featherweight and welterweight have been drawn against Qiong Lu of China and Cristina Stancu of Romania.

Michaela Walsh and Katie Taylor are in action in the last-32 of the tournament on Tuesday. Walsh meets Sarah Joy Rae of Jamaica and Taylor opens her lightweight title defence against Kezial Valerian Spicer of Dominica.

Seventy four nations have registered to compete at the 8th edition of the World Women’s Elite Championships.
