Kieran Farrell announces SEVEN Irish signings ahead of debut Belfast show

Kieran Farrell is making his move into the Irish scene, and has signed up a shed-load of Ulster talent.

The young promoter, who formerly trained at Breen’s Gym in Belfast, intends to run a show in the city later this year, and has added seven Irish fighters to his growing stable.

The Manchester-based former fighter had already signed Waterford welter Dylan Moran, and today confirmed a whole host of further Irish boxing talent.

Most notably among the new signings is Derry’s 2014 Commonwealth bronze medalist Sean McGlinchey, while amateur star Sean Magee, nephew of former Commonwealth champion Eamonn, will make his move into the pros with Farrell.

In addition, grizzled Belfast veterans Joe Hillerby [11(2)-3(2)] and Gerard Healy [5(0)-4(1)-1] will both give the sport one more crack.

Super featherweight Dan McShane [9(3)-1(1)], who has been out of the sport since a nasty shoulder dislocation and promotional issues will make a comeback with the newcomer.

Another Belfast super featherweight, big-puncher youngster Mathew Fitzsimons [2(2)-0] will also make a return to the ring following over a year out, as will lightweight puncher Mark Morris [2(1)-1(1)].

An announcement on Farrell’s debut Irish show can be expected in the near future.
