Katie Taylor to fight in Limerick in Ocotber

The first bout in Limerick by Katie Taylor historic gold medal winner at the London 2012 Olympics will take place in the UL Arena on Sunday October 12th 2014.

 

The World number one will face experienced French lightweight Oshin Derieuw on the Night for the eagerly anticipated first appearance of Katie in the ring in Limerick.

 

The Taylor Derieuw bout headlines a packed card of top class boxing with several full internationals taking part on a seven bout card. While Derieuw is now boxing under the French flag she has a very impressive record with a European Bronze medal along with 5 Belgian titles behind her and will be a stern test for Katie.

 

This event promises to be one of the best sporting events in Limerick this year and what better way to celebrate our proud boxing traditions than by bringing the best female boxer on the planet to box here.

 

The event organisers hope to make this event accessible to all Katie’s young fans and this is reflected in the very affordable pricing of tickets for this event. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly when they go on sale next week.
