John Hutchinson gets St Patrick’s Weekend off to the perfect start

John Hutchinson didn’t get caught up in St Patrick’s Day festival fever and boxed to plan to secure a shut out win Perth.

The Buncrana nomad brought a massive crowd to the WA Italian Club in Perth and feared the atmosphere and the day that was in it would tempt him to go to war.

However, the MTK Donegal favourite stuck to the game plan and got the planned six rounds in the bank as he boxed his way to a six round win over Pramool Boonpok.

The victory, which got Ireland off to a winning St Patrick’s weekend start, increases the Phuket based 30 year old’s slate to 9(2)-2(0)-2.

Hutchinson now returns to Thailand and will fight for the third time this year in Bangkok on April 19th.
