Jason Quigley secures Sky Sports slot for Linares v Campbell title fight

Jason Quigley will temporarily swap the gloves for the microphone tomorrow night.

The Donegal middleweight this week got the all-clear to return to full training under coach Manny Robles at The Rock Gym in Carson, California.

Quigley [13(10)-0] had broken his hand and shredded tendons during his win over Glen Tapia back in March and had a longer than expected road to recovery.

However, before he dives into camp for his comeback fight, Quigley has an unfamiliar job to do tomorrow night.

The Ballybofey middleweight will be part of the Sky Sports commentary team for the WBA lightweight title fight between champion, and Quigley’s Golden Boy stablemate, Jorge Linares, and English challenger Luke Campbell.

Quigley is a former Sky Scholar, and writes a regular diary for the TV giant’s website.

The fight tomorrow takes place at The Forum in Inglewood, California. Coverage on Sky Sports Main Events begins at 3:00am (Sunday morning).
