Tony Bates [10(8)-0-1] is to make a return to the ring following two years on the sidelines.

The Clondalkin fighter built a lot of excitement Down Under but saw his career stall. This frustration will finally end next month in Sydney.

‘The Irish Psycho’ has announced that he will appear on a show at the Emporium Centre in Bankstown on Friday December 16th where he will look to kick-start his promising career.

Still just 28 years old, the Sydney-based fighter will return at welterweight, but intends to quickly move down to his optimal weight of light welter.

The card will be headlined by Australia’s former IBF featherweight World champion, Billy Dib [41(23)-4(2)].
