Irish Middleweights give their predictions for Luke Keeler v Conrad Cummings 2

Tomorrow [Friday] night in Belfast sees a big all-Irish rematch.

Topping the MTK Global Fight Night at the Ulster Hall, Luke Keeler and Conrad Cummings do battle once again over eight rounds for the WBO European middleweight belt.

Dubliner Keeler [15(5)-2(1)-1] sensationally upset the odds to dominate when the pair met for the belt last April but has been somewhat frustrated since with injuries and fights falling through.

Coalisland’s Cummings [16(7)-2(0)-1] has rebuilt, picking up the rankings belt vacated by an injured Keeler and the Tyrone man [Irish-Boxing.com rank #5] is now out for revenge and a chance to prove that last April was an off night.

Keeler [Irish-Boxing.com rank #3] now finds himself a heavy favourite and wants to put the issue to bed in this World Title eliminator

Ahead of the fight, Irish-Boxing.com got in contact with the other middleweights in the division for their views and their predictions can be seen below.

I picked Cummings in first fight and was surprised how comfortably Keeler won that fight so I have to go with Keeler this time around. I think he will have the confidence and the edge from the last victory to get the win again.

I know that it’s going to be an exciting fight to watch as Cummings is out for revenge, and I think he wants to prove that his last performance wasn’t up to his standard. I know there will be fireworks from both fighters. I like both guys, so I don’t really want to put a prediction out there, I just know I’ll be tuning in to watch the whole bill, some great fights on that night.

I fancy Keeler again, maybe too smart for Conrad and I see him winning by four or five rounds.

I think Luke Keeler will win again. He has improved a lot over the last year and I just think he has too much boxing for Cummings. It will be an excellent fight though.

I’d say this fight could be a lot closer than last time. I would still edge Keeler but it’s any man’s game in there, one punch can change anything. Wish the both of them the best of luck.

I think I’m going to go with Conrad. I like both fighters but Conrad is a former team mate of mine and I think he’ll learn from his mistakes in the first fight. No doubt it’ll be a cracking fight.

I don’t want to make a prediction because I know both guys pretty well. Everything would point to Keeler boxing and winning the rematch but Cummings might surprise us and come up with something new.
