Irish + International Amateur Boxing Schedule – 2018

Ireland claimed a fantastic 29 major international medals at all levels last year and will be looking to add to this haul over the coming year with 9 major tournaments for males (2 of which are at Senior level) and 8 for females (4 of which are at Senior level).

The National Elite Seniors will be ran twice this year – in February, then in September for the women and November for the men – to facilitate the Olympic schedule, while there will also be two Under-18s all-Ireland competitions

In a logical move, European underage competitions as well as the World Youths are doubling up their male and female competitions, and there has been at last the creation of a European Schoolgirls Championships – however there is still a disappointing lack of a Women’s U22 European Championships.

All fixtures are subject to change and the addition of the National Senior (Intermediate) Championships is also expected.
