All-Ireland clash added to Dublin show
Another all-Irish clash has been added to ‘The Beginning’ card set for the National Stadium in Dublin on Saturday July 7th.
The inaugural show run by current BUI Celtic welterweight champion Jay Byrne in association with Assassin Promotions already boasts an interesting match up between Victor Rabei and Karl Kelly for the BUI Celtic light welterweight title and an Irish title defence for Paddy McDonagh versus David Bailey.
Rumour of a number of domestic match ups have been rife on a card that is set to feature, at present, 18 bouts, and one more was confirmed tonight.
Bray middleweight debutant Eddie Treacy faces Sligo-Manc Jordan Latimer [1(0)-0] on the stacked card.

The co-promoters go head-to-head in the Latimer v Tracey clash as Assassin’s new signing fights the JB Promotions banger respectively.
The Manchester-based youngster was hoping to make his Irish debut on the Last Man Standing card back in March but injury forced him to pull out of the eight-man single-elimination tournament won by Roy Sheahan.
Latimer, whose sole pro win came in February of 2017, faces the novice but eager to impress Treacy who is said to possess notable power.
A match-up with Belfast veteran Ger Healy had been pitched for the Wicklow slugger previously but he will now face a similarly inexperienced pro.
The bout is dependent on Latimer coming through his four-round bout with Cork-South African Jade Karam in Scotland next Friday – which features on a bill alongside promoter Byrne’s attempt to become a two-weight BUI Celtic champ versus Dundee light middle Paul Kean.

“Eddie is absolutely delighted to get a good tough debut fight in Jordan and Jordan is looking forward to stepping up in levels and looking to push into title contention,” JB Promotions Jay Byrne told Irish-Boxing.com.
“Eddie says he’ll fight anyone and Jordan is first up for him to prove he belongs in this pro game.”
The card in two months time also features debuts for Stephen Webb, Wayne Kenny, Conor Doherty, Eoin McGrath, and Martin Wall, as well as appearances for Dylan Moran, Gerard Healy, Dylan McDonagh, Vladimir Belujsky, Craig O’Brien, Martin Quinn, Lynn Harvey, Sean McGlinchey, Craig McCarthy, Liam Gaynor, and Cillian Reardon.
