Hyde backs hidden heavyweight gem to get himself right in the mix

Con Sheehan is a heavyweight volcano, waiting to explode onto the big man scene and do serious damage in the process suggests manager Gary Hyde.

The Tipp former standout amateur fights for the second time as a pro inĀ Toronto on Thursday July 28th at the Danforth Music Hall against a to-be-confirmed opponent.

Ā While there is excitement surrounding the Virgil Hunter trained 27 year old in Ireland and among those who work with him Stateside, he understandably, considering he has only one pro win, isn’t attracting too much attention on a global stage in an increasingly mouth-watering division.

However, manager Hyde is adamant the 6’5″ puncher will be making all the right noises and forcing people to sit up and take note very soon.

ā€œCon Sheehan is a hidden gem who will soon explode onto the heavyweight scene,ā€ said the Nowhere2Hyde Management boss.

ā€œCon has an extensive amateur pedigree where he won multiple Irish national titles as well as a European Union title. Heā€™s got a very fluid style but loves nothing more than going into the trenches, so heā€™s an extremely exciting fighter. In a few years, heā€™ll be right in the mix.ā€
