Hearn putting together November 15 O2 Dublin fight card

THE boxing rumour mill suggests Matthew Macklin, Matchroom and Sky Sports will come to Dublin on November 15.

By all accounts Eddie Hearn is putting together a fight card for the venue Bernard Dunne once called home the 02 and big time boxing looks set for a return to the capital.

Indeed, not only is there talk that Hearn and co are ready to start a relationship with Dublin on the aforementioned date, but that the Matchroom boss is already putting together fights.

The eagerly anticipated Civil War clash between Anthony Fitzgerald and Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan is said to be re made, whilst an Irish title fight between old foes Ian Tims and Michael Sweeney seems likely. Luke Keeler may also appear on the card, with Darren Cruise name dropped as a potential foe.

There is also talk Belfast big man Tommy McCarthy could also appear.

Matthew Macklin, who fights in Germany this weekend, has indicated he hopes to fight the opponent he was initially meant  to fight in the National Stadium on August 30, Sebastian Heiland in Dublin in November.
