Healy: Hutchinson needs me and I don’t need another cut

GERARD Healy fears no man, but he is wary of John Hutchinson head.

The Belfast fighter responding to news Hutchinson was willing to fight him for a third time told Irish-boxing.com it is a risk he doesn’t need to take.

When Healy talks risk he isn’t fearful of the Buncrana Bangers skill set, rather suggesting he is wary of another clash of heads. Cuts is a common denominator between both bouts , indeed the second was stopped after a wound that needed 15 stitches opened up on Healy’s head.

Most ringside agreed the cut from an accidental clash of heads, but the Belfast fighter remains skeptical and feels he doesn’t need to take up the Donegal’s rematch offer.

Speaking to Irish-boxing.com after reading THIS article, Healy said,

“Well for starters John has lost his last two fights and I won my last two. I thought I won the first fight, but he got the decision. I am not getting into war of words over that or anything else, but at the minute he needs me more than I need him.

“After the last fight I got 15 stitches because of the use of his head, so I really need to think bout stepping into a ring with him again. It isn’t a fight I need but you never know. I fear no man as everyone knows and it may happen.”
