Headline fight confirmed for April MHD show

The headline fight for the upcoming MHD Promotions ‘Collision’ card in Belfast on April 14th has been confirmed.

Lagmore lightweight Paul Hyland Jr [17(6)-0] was announced last week as the bill-topper for the show at the Europa Hotel, and it has this evening been confirmed that ‘Hylo’ will face two-time BBBoC Southern Area champion Floyd Moore [15(9)-6(3)-2] in a twelve-round contest.

The Hampshire 27-year-old is unbeaten over three years since his defeat to Gary Buckland in Prizefighter Lightweights – which was won by Dubliner Jono Carroll. That loss came at the end of a tough 2014 where he was also defeated by Adam Dingsdale, who Hyland stopped in the first round last Summer. However, since then he is unbeaten in six contests including regaining and retaining the Southern Area title against Danny Carter and Ben Day respectively.

Hyland is making his return after six months out having suffered a broken jaw in his win over Stephen Ormond back in October. 2017 was a breakout year for the MHD man who also defeated Dingsdale and Peter Cope.

The 27-year-old is targeting the British title which is currently held by Lewis Ritson, who defends against Joe Murray on Sunday February 25th.

Confirmed so far for the undercard in just under nine weeks time are Belfast super featherweights James Tennyson and Dan McShane as well as Coalisland 130lber Feargal McCrory.
