Frampton set to face Quigg in Manchester in September?

There are bound to be rumors aplenty over the coming weeks and months of where the super fight between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg will take place this year but one report today suggested that the fight has been agreed in principle for Manchester in September.

BeanBag Sports, who have close links to both fighters today reported that the bout is set to take place in the 21,000 capacity Manchester Arena this September.

Reports suggest that the fight, date and venue have been agreed in principle but that the contracts have yet to be signed.

As fight fans will be aware, ‘agreed in principle’ is a heavily banded about term in boxing so we won’t be booking our flights just yet, particularly considering TV rights and purse issues to be ironed out.

However, this is the furthest down the line the fight is to being agreed since it was first mooted five years ago.
