Frampton: Quigg is getting desperate, I am happy fighting for a legitimate World title

SCOTT Quigg’s calls for a Carl Frampton fight have only got louder because he knows ‘The Jackal’ has a date with Kiko Martinez this September, according to Frampton.
Frampton suggests the Bury fighter, who he has continually linked with, can claim he is ‘desperate’ to come to Belfast safe in the knowledge that Frampton will be predisposed in September.
Frampton one again said he is open to a clash with  Matchroom’s WBA interim world champion, but stressed he is more than content to be challenging for a ‘legitimate’ world in front of a sizeable sold out crowd for now.
“Scott Quigg  wasn’t keen to come to Belfast, but now he’s desperate because he knows we have the Kiko fight, so that’s why he is metioning me now. They are a little bit desperate,” said Frampton.
“I’m happy I’m fighting for a legitimate world title, fighting in front of 20,000 people in my home town. I’m very happy with that so they can see what they want,” he added before suggesting he see’s Quigg as one of a number future opponents.
“I’m looking to win this fight first but Quigg is an option and Santa Cruz is an option. The mandatory is Chris Avalos and he is an option. I’m happy to fight all these guys.”
