First fight date of 2018 confirmed for Davey Oliver Joyce

Davey Oliver Joyce is the latest Irish boxer to secure their first fight date of 2018.

After turning pro last Summer, the Mullingar super featherweight raced to 5(4)-0 and will be looking to be similarly active this year, starting in just two weeks time.

Joyce has been announced for the SK Promotions ‘Collision Course’ show in Dublin on Saturday February 3rd, becoming the sixth fighter confirmed for the bill at the Citywest Hotel in Tallaght.

The Rio Olympian joins MTK stablemates Sean Creagh, Gary Cully, and Stevie Collins on the bill along with Kilnamanagh prospects Liam Gaynor and Eoin McGrath.

The Punisher has been training under Pete Taylor in Bray, scoring three successive wins against progressive opponents six rounders, before two blow-outs on big bills in Belfast.

Ready for a step up now, Joyce – who turns 31 next month – will be looking to be kicked on in 2018, starting on February 3rd.

Tickets for the night cost €35 (standard) and €55 (ringside) and are available from the boxers involved.
