Exciting all-Irish clash added to Leeside Revolution card

A second intriguing all Irish clash has been added to the Leeside Revolution card.

The Irish title won’t be on the line as it will when Noel Murphy and Jake Hanney trade leather on top of the Martin Horgan promoted card, but a meeting of two Irish light middleweights on the undercard provides exciting main event support nonetheless.

It will be Cavan versus Wicklow as Owen Duffy [4(2)-1(0)] and Eddie Tracey [2(1)-0] trade leather on the now-stacked Neptune Stadium July 20 card.

It’s a chance for the two well supported fighters to grab some wider spotlight and progress toward title fights.

For Duffy  it’s an opportunity to put further distance between himself and his reverse in England to Jake Best while securing a notable step up win.

Tracey will be looking to gatecrash the light middleweight scene and build on his two 2018 wins.

The Bray fighter just signed with Boxing Ireland last week having previously worked with Jay Byrne – and within days has had a significant fight announced.

It’s brave from Wicklow man considering ‘The Butcher’ has been more active of late, but ‘The Honey Badger’ has always stated he favoured competitive fights over padding his record.

The all Irish nature of the match up should add real intrigue to a bill with an already exciting headline act.

It two all Irish clashes are joined by bouts for Graham McCormack, Siobhan O’Leary, Craig McCarthy, Stephen McAfee, Sam Carroll, Craig O’Brien Katelynn Phelan and an amateur clash for Tommy Hyde.
