European Under-22 Championships – FULL DRAW


The European Under-22 Championships beging this afternoon in Russia and the draw has been made in the host city of Vladikavkaz.

Ireland are represented by a small ten-fighter team and three of these have learnt that they are just one win from medalling as Niamh Earley, Adam Hession, and Irish female captain Aoife O’Rourke received byes into the quarter finals.

Amy Broadhurst, a gold medallist from the 2018 European U022s, and Shauna O’Callaghan are in action today. Boxing begins at 2pm (Irish time).

Broadhurst is at 2:15pm in Ring B while O’Callaghan boxes at 2:45pm in Ring A.

Irish male captain Gabriel Dossen, David Oliver Joyce and Paddy Donovan are between the ropes tomorrow while Pierce O’Leary and Mary Geraghty box Sunday.
