European Schoolboys Championships Day 2 Results

By Bernard O’Neill – IABA Press Officer

There was disappointment for Ireland at the European Schoolboy Championships in Anapa, Russia today.

Keelyn Roche, Michael Myers and Calium Glynn bowed out at the last 16 stage.

All three gave fine accounts of themselves against opponents from Turkey, Croatia and Slovakia and in the estimation of www.iaba.ie all three did enough to reach the last-eight.

Ireland will go head-to-head with Turkey in three bouts tomorrow. Four Irish boxers will be in action, with Cork’s Stephen Cairns between the ropes versus Turkey in the first bout on the program at 12pm (Irish time).
