Eubank Snr: Spike lacks manners and class and will be beaten on Dec 12

Forget ‘bad man,’ Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan is a ‘bad mannered’ man claims British boxing legend Chris Eubank.

The Cork middleweight is close to announcing a deal to fight the son of the former World champion, who was dethroned by Irish fight legend Steve Collins, Chris Eubank Jr.

The WBA-NABA Champ and the WBA interim World title holder have been trading verbal blows for nigh on three years and ‘Spike’ has been on a ‘knockout Eubank Jr’ quest.

New Matchroom signing Junior’s father, who fought Ray Close and Collins in the 90s, has taken exception to some of the comments made by the Celtic Warrior Gym puncher, who fights in American this Saturday night and has all but chastised the Cork man.

“I actually had to block him from my Twitter site because he’s attacking Junior through my site. You can’t do that. It’s bad manners. There’s no class in that. Talk to the man directly,” Eubank Jr told Sky Sports before commenting on a December 12 clash which looks likely to be confirmed next week.

“It’ll be a contest I think the public are going to like. He’s been itching for Junior for all these years and it’s not like we’ve been hiding. It was offered to him before and he side-stepped but now he’s been promised what he asked for, the best man shall win.”
