Early Betting Odds for Carl Frampton v Nonito Donaire

The fight is over three months away and tickets are still to go on sale, but people are already extremely excited for Carl Frampton’s next fight.

The Belfast featherweight is set to face four-weight champion Nonito Donaire on Saturday April 7th at the SSE Odyssey Arena, live on BoxNation and BT Sport.

Following weeks of hints and expectation, promoter Frank Warren confirmed the bout yesterday, with Frampton being handed the chance to add a huge name to his resume and set up an IBF world title fight at Windsor Park in the Summer.

After leaving Cyclone and the McGuigans, it will be 30 year old Frampton’s second fight with his new team of Jamie Moore, Warren, and MTK Global – and he faces a fighter who has also parted company with his long-time promoter Top Rank.

While he was a word champion as recently as last November – and was formerly high up on pound-for-pound lists – the general consensus is that 35 year old Donaire is somewhat past his best.

That said, the Filipino remains a dangerous opponent and a real test for Frampton.

‘The Jackal’ though, unsurprisingly, starts out as a favourite with the bookies,

A Frampton win (any method) is best-priced at 2/9 with BetVictor.

Donaire can be had as large as 5/1 with Coral and Ladbrokes.

The draw comes in at 25/1 with all outlets.

Extended markets such as method of victory and round betting will be added here once they are released.
