Dylan Moran secures early 2019 start
Dylan Moran [8(5)-0] will start what he predicts will be a break out year with a fight in the famous York Hall.
It has been confirmed that the Kilmacthomas welterweight will fight for the ninth time as a pro next Saturday [February 2nd] in London on a Mickey Helliet ‘Hellraiser’ show.
The Waterford fighter became one of a number of much talked about early doors welterweights with no fewer than five 2018 wins, three of which played out in Ireland, one in England, and one in Mexico.
Indeed, the last of the victories, a points win over Nelson Altamirano in Castlebar was broadcast in full on TG4 meaning Moran increased his profile and well as his record last year.
His managerial outfit, Assassin, hope to raise that profile further in 2019 and have plans to keep the 24-year-old busy over the next few months.
There have been hints the Déise fighter will get some more experience, possibly fighting on the road, before returning to Waterford to top a proposed TV show in a title fight in the Autumn.
He starts a potentially exciting 2019 in London next week on a York Hall show against a yet to be confirmed opponent.
The card next week is topped by a Commonwealth light welterweight title fight between Benson Nyilawila and Tyrone McKenna target Philip Bowes and also features slots for Dan Morley, Daniel Kahn, Ohio Iremiren, Sean Phillips, John Brennan, Jordan Blake, Michael Ibrahim, Chris Bourke, Brad Price, Robin Dupre, and Ramon Perez.
