Domestic title fight for Conlan on April 30?

It’s not long-time verbal rival Paul Butler, but Jamie Conlan looks set to face another Brit on April 30.

The Mexican appears along side fellow Belfast puncher James Tennyson on the undercard of Billy Joe Saunders first World title defence on April 30th.

The Spring Showdown already plays host to an eagerly anticipated British title fight between Tennyson and Ryan Walsh, and could provide Conlan with a chance to add the Commonwealth super flyweight title to the WBO European and Inter Continental straps he already has on his mantlepiece.

Conlan, whose last outing was in the National Stadium in November, is being lined up to fight unbeaten South Shiels puncher Anthony Nelson for the vacant strap.

Nelson, 30, has 11 wins to his name and has already claimed the BBBoC Northern Area and English titles.
