‘Do you think I want to do business with liars?’ – Serrano calls for Taylor offer

It’s starting to get complicated, but Amanda Serrano claims it could be as simple as a good offer being put on the table.

The seven-weight world champion is adamant she wants to fight Katie Taylor in what both fighters claim is the ‘biggest fight in female boxing’ and is content to do it next if needs be.

However, she seems frustrated and feels she is being messed around by both her promoter Lou DiBella and Matchroom boss Eddie Hearn.

The line out there at present is that the controversial Puerto Rican signed a three fight deal with DAZN and in that deal there was a ‘fight Taylor clause’.

The idea was both fighters would have two fights allowing Serrano time to make history by winning a world title at a seventh weight, which she managed to do earlier this year, whilst it would permit the Bray star to secure undisputed status, which she too managed on June 1.

Both promoters have been vocal about the fact that three fight contract exists and has been signed, indeed Team Taylor claim they have seen it, but Serrano has suggested she hasn’t  received a contract’ from her promoter.

The 30-year-old has also bemoaned she hasn’t got the second fight in the three fight agreement presented to her and has hit out at both promoters.

However, the bottom line is Serrano wants the mega fight and obviously the career best paid day it should generate – and she has called for an offer to be put on the table so it can be made.

The Serrano fight is a clash Taylor and her team have been vocal about wanting over the years and by all accounts they are more than happy to have it this year.
