Dennis Hogan World Title Shot OFF

Dennis Hogan’s WBA interim title fight with Germany’s Jack Culcay has unfortunately been postponed.

The Kildare man was due to face the Ecuador-born fighter for the secondary title on September 26th in Berlin, however the bout has been postponed due to television issues stemming from the collapse of the shows undercard.

‘Hurricane’ Hogan [22(7)-0-1] is the current NABA champion and had recently began training in Paschal Collins’s Celtic Warrior’s Gym to round off his camp ahead of the clash. The Australian-based fighter has intentions to use the WBA interim title as leverage to secure a shot at WBA champion Erislandy Lara.

Culcay [20(10)-1(0)] is a former World Amateur Champion and, when they eventually meet, will be the toughest fight of 30 year old Hogan’s career.

Speaking on social media, Hogan confirmed the bad news as well as stating that a new date will be in place within 48 hours, with November looking likely.
