Day 2 Times and Live Stream for Irish at EU Championships


There are three Irish fighters in Last 16 action today at the EU Championships in Cascia, Italy.

Following a brilliant start yesterday where Kelly Harrington and Michaela Walsh booked quarter finals places, a trio of Ulster boxers will be looking to join them in bronze medal bouts.

First up at 3:30pm (Irish time) is Kristina O’Hara. The Belfast light fly is making her Elite International debut and opens today’s session against Finland’s Satu Lehtonen.

Quickly following this at 4:00pm is another Belfast fighter making her Elite International tournament debut in flyweight Carly McNaul. The Ormeau Road boxer takes on Frenchwoman Wassila Lkhadiri, a bronze medalist at the 2014 European Championships.

Rounding off the day at 5:00pm will be experienced Monaghan boxer Dervla Duffy. The Mulhuddart featherweight takes on young Hungarian Kinga Mezovari
