Dangerous opponent named for Jamie Kavanagh

Dublin lightweight Jamie Kavanagh [19(9)-1(1)-1] will have to be on his toes this Saturday when he has his homecoming at the National Stadium.

‘The Nuisance’ faces rough and tough Hungarian Oszkar Fiko [14(10)-12(6)] over 8 rounds on the MGM-promoted ‘Second Coming’ show. The Romanian-born boxer always comes to fight, and is not averse to throwing a sneaky headbutt or elbow

Therefore, the 25 year old former Golden Boy star will be wary of being drawn into a war against Fiko who Irish fans may remember from his previous bouts on these shores against Pajo Hyland (outpointed over 8 rounds) and Daniel McShane (disqualified after 3 rounds).

Tickets are available from the boxers involved and tickets.ie. ‘Second Coming’’ will also be shown exclusively live on Boxnation from 5pm (Sky channel 437).
