Cummings: I could have moved up three more gears

CONRAD Cummings registered an impressive home debut without having to get out of first gear.

The Tyrone native was full of smiles after stopping delighted with his first Odyssey Arena hosted victory and his second since turning pro, but would have like a few more rounds.

They exciting middleweight prospect wanted a chance to move up the gears and work further on some of the things he has been learning in the gym.

The Cyclone Promotions puncher also revealed he hopes to return to action as early as next month.

“It was good to win, but I would have liked a few more rounds. I kept my range well and worked him to the body and head. We have been working on that in the gym,” he said.

“I had three more gears to go, so I was happy with that. It was unbelievable to fight in Belfast.  The Odyssey is a great venue to fight at and I want more of this. I hope to be out again at the end of May – but I am now going to take a week off.
