Crawford retains title Ormond has in sights, but looks set to move up in weight

TERENCE Crawford impressively outpointed Ray Beltran to retain the WBO World title Dublin’s Stephen Ormond has in his sights.

If the WBO European fighter of the year defeats Terry Flanagan in Sheffield on December 13 he will next in line for the title currently in the American’s possession.

However, whilst Ormond would relish the chance to take on a fighter, who is now been mentioned in pound for pound terms and a possible Manny Pacquiao, his fight fans will be content to hear the talented puncher looks set to vacate and move up to 140 lbs.

As a result if the WBO European champion beats the undefeated Flanagan on the same night as Andy Lee fights for the WBO middleweight title he will challenge for a vacated belt and face one of the WBO top 15.
