Conrad Cummings finally secures comeback fight date

Conrad Cummings will finally make his return to the ring next month.

The Coalisland middleweight has been out of action since March and has undergone big changes to his team in this period and will start a new chapter next weekend.

Cummings [11(5)-1(0)-1] has tonight been confirmed for the Ginley Promotions ‘Danger at the Devenish 2’ card at The Devenish Venue on Friday December 1st.

The 26 year old claimed the WBO European title in March with a dominant stoppage win over Austrian Gogi Knezevic, bouncing back from his sole career loss to Ronny Mittag, but has been inactive since.

One of a number of boxers affected by the cancellation of the Frampton-Gutierrez card in July, and later announced that he had parted company with the McGuigan family.

The Tyrone boxer, like Carl Frampton just weeks before him, subsequently linked up with trainer Jamie Moore in Manchester and Irish management outfit Mack The Knife Global.

In camp since September, the Ulster pressure fighter has now finally has a fight date and an opponent for Cummings will be confirmed shortly.

‘Mr Dynamite’ joins a packed card next week. Also featuring on Ginley’s third show of the year are Phil Sutcliffe Jr, Paddy Gallagher, Ian Tims, Tyrone McCullagh, Steve Collins Jr, Alfredo Meli, Padraig McCrory, Anto Upton, and debutant Taylor McGoldrick.
