Change of opponent for Chunky Devine

Michael Devine has been given a new opponent ahead of his Dublin debut on Saturday at the National Stadium.

The Luton-born lightweight was due to face Latvian Daniils Kucurs [2(2)-1(1)-1] on ‘The Future’ card, but the Latvian has been forced to withdraw.

In his place, FS Promotions and Hatton Promotions have secured unbeaten Latvian fighter Vitalijs Usovs [3(3)-0].

Usovs comes to the ring as a winner of a Latvian version of Prizefighter, and holds an extensive background in kickboxing and mixed martial arts.

A superior, and physicaly larger, opponent than Kucurs, he shove provide more of a test to Devine ahead of his Southern Area title fight against Floyd Moore in Portsmouth on July 9th.
